I haven’t always loved ricotta canolis because cheese in a dessert never sounded appealing to me until I tried it… When I got to Taormina in Sicily I quickly found out it was where they originated from and they became a staple in my diet for the week I was there.
My search for the best canoli ended pretty quickly when I stumbled across La Pignolata Guinness. They fill them with cream upon ordering so they remain fresh and crunchy and they taste divine! I went back everyday and tried every flavour. They were and still are the best I have tasted. The owners were incredibly nice and friendly which made the experience and the visits all the more worth it!
But where’s the chicken in all this?
